Five things to know about Paul McCartney's fiancee -- After a four-year romance, Paul McCartney is set to marry his new fiancée, Nancy Shevell.
Naturally, interest in the former Beatle's future wife -- whom he met in 2007 -- is ramping up. Here, five things to know about the pretty brunette:
Like her future husband, this won't be Nancy Shevell's first trip down the aisle
She's related to Barbara Walters
When Shevell, 51, and McCartney, 68, first stepped out publicly, Walters announced on "The View" her feelings about the musician's new lady pal.
"I love her very much. She's my cousin," said Walters. "She's my second cousin. Her mother, who died, was my first cousin. And I have been very close to this young woman."
His kids adore her
For years rumors swirled that McCartney's adult children didn't approve of his second wife, Heather Mills. But harmony has reigned with Shevell from the get-go, with Paul's designer daughter Stella McCartney showing her approval and sources confirming to PEOPLE that "she's thrilled for her father."
She's a formidable businesswoman
Shevell has a busy work schedule, holding down several positions, including vice president of her family's business, New England Motor Freight, Inc., and the Shevell Group of Companies. She's also a member of New York City's Metropolitan Transportation Authority board.
She's been married before
Like her future husband, this won't be Shevell's first trip down the aisle. She was married for more than two decades to New York attorney Bruce Blakeman, with whom she has a son, Arlen.
She has the blessing of a former love-interest
Shevell has a fan in McCartney's rumored ex-girlfriend, actress Rosanna Arquette, who told PEOPLE in 2009, "I'm happy for him. This is the relationship he should be in. I love [Nancy]."
Perhaps the couple should brace themselves, however. Asked what she might get them for an engagement present if the opportunity presented itself, Arquette replied, "A llama! Because he loves animals. I don't know. I'll think about it." ( cnn.com )
